Below you will find a short
explanation about the format of the Excel sheet. If
you are interested in sharing your information with
other overlanders please send me your waypoints.

Guidelines on how to use the
format:
- A = Name of the country.
- B = Name of the town. If the
place is not a town mention the name of the
closest town or the area.
- C + D = GPS coordinates preferably
using this grid: Lat/Lon hddd°mm.mmm".
- E = Category. This is a
useful feature to find certain types of
waypoints. To start with 18 categories are
defined. If you would like to add another category you
can send a request. In the table below you can
find the categories and their explanations
- F = Name of the accommodation,
shop, garage or whatever. If you do not have a
name leave it blank
- G = If possible mention the
price per person per night in local currency
- H = If possible mention the
facilities. For overlanders facilities like
internet, laundry, workshop, water (tap to fill
up tanks) and if dogs are allowed are specially
interesting
- I = Here you can give your
personal comment. In some cases the height might
be very important and can be mentioned here.
- J = This is the date you
gathered the information. That means the date
you for example stayed on a campsite (not the
date it was published on this site). This date
is important to value the accuracy of
information that changes regularly like prices.

Please note this list is just to
give you an idea of all options, do not let it
discourage you. If you cannot fill in all the columns
or you just have waypoints of campsites they are
more than welcome. Just share all the information you
